And, whilst it may be some time before any sort of normality is resumed, a number of companies are offering advice that will allow preparations to be made for that eventuality.īrighouse, Yorkshire-based window and door fabricator Quickslide is one such firm that has turned its expertise and resources towards producing advice that its trade partners may use to prepare themselves for an end to the lockdown and actually, to show how they may open up discussions with potential customers even whilst the restrictions apply. I bougth this app because I was thinking about making a similar app to sell in the store… I figured I needed an app to do these things, and so was going to make one for myself and sell it on the side.Despite the coronavirus having a devastating effect on every aspect of life, there are signs that people and businesses are adjusting to life under lockdown. I do like being able to only include certain file types. Shuffling could happen behind the scenes (or not) and doesn't really need its own UI. I just want to select several folders of images, and then start playing them, manually advancing, in a random order, or in a consistent order. Probably should give a choice of scaling to the screen with aspect ratio preserved as well.Ĥ) Might be good to have a quick mode, if other people care about randomizing ,etc. Without this feature the app is kinda useless for me. It would be good to scale them to sthe size of the screen.

I don't use timed slide shows.ģ) Images are shown unscaled.
Quickslide video manual#
I like being able to move back and forth in the slides using the arrow keys, but this is oriented around a slideshow that is timed rather than manual advance. Able to get by with adding folders one at a time.Ģ) Need some way to make the space bar advance to the next image. (Press plus, then command select multiple folders, then close the file dialog.) I believe it passes an array of folders and the app is not handling that correctly. Looking forward to updates.ġ) Trying to add multiple folders causes a crash. 5 stars for doing what it was made to do. Would be nice if we could zoom in and pan around on a specific image. It reduces the image view down to the max size of the screen automatically, so no cropped off heads/feet like with other slideshow apps.

Spacebar stops/starts the show, incase someone wants to pause on a specific shot to show others at the party. People can use the arrow keys if they want to go back and see a shot again. Its great for setting up a kiosk at a party and occasionally dumping your memory card into a directory and restarting the slide show. You point this at directories and press the Start button … no delay, no indexing, just starts showing pics. If you need something robust like saving a movie, file management (edit/delete/etc), super complicated transitions, etc, then you'll need to find a more expensive option. If you are looking for a no-frills slideshow viewer that does nothing but slideshows, this $2 app is a very useful tool. This is a utility and does what it's made for quite nicely. I think these other people with negative reviews bought this $2 app expecing a super complicated, feature rich application. Read this before believing the other reviews Hopefully this will be fixed in a later release. Known issue: some camera raw formats are not supported, for example, Fuji. When something occurs in a Watchfolder (perhaps you add some new photos or edit one that’s already in there) QuickSlide will add the image to the playlist - if you edit an image already in the playlist, it’ll get moved up so that it will appear within the next couple of transitions of the show. There are still Watchfolders - the folders that you’d like QuickSlide to keep an eye on for new or modified images.
Quickslide video windows#
You can have multiple windows for your show and each window can have multiple images on it. Handy if, like the developer, you keep your photos organised in 'Location' folders.Īnother re-write of this app utilises the latest OSX and graphics drivers.
Quickslide video full#
QuickSlide can be set to instantly start your show as soon as it opens up and can automatically go full screen - you also have the option to display a scrolling line of text that shows the location of the image file. And you can choose the transitions between images.
Quickslide video mac osx#
It’s not like the slide show that’s built in to Mac OSX it can stop and pick up where it left off, shuffle your images randomly or by name or date.

QuickSlide is an app that enables you to create playlists of your still pictures.

*You must have an Apple Metal-enabled computer for this update. We hope you like this complete re-write of QuickSlide that takes advantage of Apple's latest technologies.
